講座内容
本講座では、ナグ・ハマディ写本に収録されたテキストの抜粋集である『Coptic Gnostic Chrestomathy: A Selection of Coptic Texts with Grammatical Analysis and Glossary』(Bentley Layton, 2004) を講読する。コプト語の文法事項や語彙の体得を目指すと同時に、グノーシス主義をはじめとする古代末期エジプトの宗教思想潮流についての理解を深める。講読するテキストには、「ヨハネのアポクリュフォン」、「真理の福音」、「フィリポによる福音書」、「闘技者トマスの書」などがある。

受講対象者
過去に「コプト・エジプト語初級」を受講した者、あるいは、コプト語の文法を勉強したことがある者。コプト語について勉強したことがないが、ナグ・ハマディ写本を読解する意欲のある方は、個別に書面で指定する文法項目を予習してくることによって、受講することもできる。

講師紹介

宮川 創 （みやがわ そう）
- 筑波大学人文社会系准教授
- 専門は、コーパス歴史言語学、キリスト教文献学、人文情報学。専門言語は、コプト語を含むエジプト語、コイネー・ギリシア語、そして日琉諸語。ドイツのゲッティンゲン大学で初期キリスト教諸文献のデジタルアーカイブとデジタルコーパスの作成に約5年間従事する。ドイツのゲッティンゲン大学とライプチヒ大学、イスラエルのエルサレム・ヘブライ大学、イギリスのロンドン大学(UCL)などで古代地中海世界の文献学と言語学を学ぶ。
